Marwan's operator brief

What changed.
Why it matters.

Not a stream of headlines. Each signal is translated into a decision, control or commercial question an operator should address.

01 · Risk & AML
HIGH

Remote casino financial-crime risk remains high

The UK Gambling Commission kept the remote casino sector at a high money-laundering risk rating and highlighted fraudulent documents, AI-generated deepfakes, mule accounts and higher-risk payment flows.

Operator view: verification, payment controls and escalation procedures must be designed together—not added after launch.

02 · Betting integrity
300

Integrity alerts increased across global sport

IBIA reported 300 suspicious betting alerts in 2025, up 29% from 2024. Football accounted for 110 alerts and tennis for 74.

Operator view: monitoring, supplier accountability and documented event-risk decisions are commercial safeguards as well as integrity controls.

03 · Responsible gaming
2Y

Player protection is becoming an operating discipline

The UAE GCGRA requires licensed operators to maintain a comprehensive socially responsible gaming programme and have it audited at least every two years.

Operator view: responsible gaming must connect product, marketing, customer support, training and measurement from day one.
